The Brick Kiln sector has a long journey and its history as old as a human being. It’s just the nature of the brick that has been going through the evolutionary process. The ancient person used to knead the mud to build the blocks for dwelling. Security or shelter is one of the building blocks of the pyramid crafted by the great American sociologist Abraham Maslow known as a ‘Hierarchy of Needs’.

Evolution is an ever-on-going process of nature and those who do not follow left-behind. The Brick Kiln Owners Association started its journey 35 years ago. Now it’s a federal government approved big national trade body. The honour you have given me during the last 35 years as Chairman is valuable for me. However, in the new scenario of a DGTO association, one of you have to come up to replace me.

Life is the name of challenges and to accept them. To make our country green, clean, and to follow modern technology in our industry is our mission and vision. Technology has become a necessary pillar of any modern organization. The introduction of technology in any industry is only possible through ongoing R&D. The ‘ZigZag’ methodology is the right step towards our destination. Alhamdulillah, our 90% of units have already converted to a new human-friendly Zig Zag methodology. I will request the remaining units to immediately follow this method which is not only human-friendly and cost-efficient. The quality and cosmetic beauty of the product are also enhanced by using the Zig Zag methodology. It also saves 30% of our natural resources and improves the ambience at our workplaces to improve the quality of life of our workers.

I also urge you to strengthen the association by participating in its affairs and take care of your workers and animals used for facilitation.I pray for your prosperity and well-being.

Brick Kilns Owners’ Association Pakistan started working since after the creation of Pakistan. Association exists in Punjab, Sindh, Blochistan and KPK provinces. Governing body of the association comprised of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Finance Secretary, Core Committee and other members. Regional Offices comprised of Regional office Central Punjab, South Punjab and North Punjab and one regional office in each province.
